Taiyuan Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. is a super-large integrated steel enterprise mainly engaged in sheet production in China and the largest stainless steel producer. It possesses advanced technical equipment in the mining and processing of iron ore and other steel smelting raw materials, as well as in the manufacturing of smelting and metallurgical equipment and spare parts. It has a full-process stainless steel production line of international advanced level, including smelting, refining, continuous casting, hot rolling and cold rolling. It has an annual production capacity of 10 million tons of steel.
Manager Xu, Manager Wang and others visited and studied the stainless steel smelting production line of Taiyuan Iron & Steel (Group) Co., LTD. They were all deeply impressed and listened attentively to the detailed explanation given by Manager Li from the Engineering Department: "The Third Steelmaking plant of Taiyuan Iron & Steel is the earliest stainless steel production plant in China and also the stainless steel steelmaking plant with the longest production history in China." The first batch of stainless steel and the first stainless steel continuous casting slab in China were both produced in this factory. Over the course of more than half a century of stainless steel production history, this factory has made significant contributions to the development of stainless steel varieties in China and the introduction, digestion and absorption of production process technology and equipment. The first AOD refining furnace independently developed in our country was completed and put into operation in this factory.
