| A steel pipe made from a single piece of metal without any seams on its surface is called a seamless steel pipe. According to the production methods, seamless tubes are classified into hot-rolled tubes, cold-rolled tubes, cold-drawn tubes, extruded tubes, and pushed tubes, etc. According to the cross-sectional shape, seamless steel pipes are divided into two types: round and special-shaped. Special-shaped pipes include various complex shapes such as square, oval, triangular, hexagonal, melon seed-shaped, star-shaped, and finned pipes. The maximum diameter reaches 650mm and the minimum diameter is 0.3mm. Depending on the use, there are thick wall and thin wall tube. Seamless steel pipes are mainly used as oil and gas geological drilling pipes, cracking pipes for petrochemicals, boiler pipes, bearing pipes, as well as high-precision structural steel pipes for automobiles, tractors and aviation. Seamless steel pipes have a wide range of uses. General-purpose seamless steel pipes are rolled from common carbon structural steel, low alloy structural steel or alloy structural steel. They have the largest output and are mainly used as fluid conveying pipes or structural parts. 2. Supply is classified into three types based on different uses: A. Supply by chemical composition and mechanical properties; B. Supply according to mechanical performance; C. Supply according to the hydraulic test. Steel pipes supplied as Class a and b, if used to withstand liquid pressure, also need to undergo a hydrostatic test. 3. Special-purpose seamless tubes include various types such as those for boilers, chemical and power industries, geological applications, and petroleum applications. Seamless steel pipes have a hollow cross-section and are widely used as conduits for transporting fluids, such as oil, natural gas, gas, water, and certain solid materials. Compared with solid steel materials such as round steel, steel pipes are lighter in weight when their bending and torsional strengths are the same, making them an economical type of section steel. Steel pipes are widely used in the manufacturing of structural components and mechanical parts, such as oil drill pipes, automotive drive shafts, bicycle frames, and steel scaffolding used in construction. Manufacturing ring-shaped parts with steel pipes can improve material utilization, simplify manufacturing processes, save materials and processing time, and have been widely adopted. |
